Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your round wooden fence posts, follow these guidelines:
Setup:
- Determine the placement and spacing for your project.
- Dig holes of appropriate depth, ensuring stability. A general rule is to bury at least one-third of the post's length.
- Insert the posts into the holes, ensuring they are plumb (vertically straight) using a spirit level.
- Backfill the holes firmly with soil or gravel, compacting as you go to secure the posts.
Compatibility:
- These posts are compatible with common fencing materials like wire mesh, netting, and wooden panels for light fencing applications.
- They can be used with standard post drivers for easier installation in softer ground.
Care:
- While HC4 treated, annual inspection for any signs of wear or damage is recommended.
- Keep the base of the posts clear of excessive debris or vegetation that could trap moisture.
- Avoid applying additional sealants unless specifically required for extreme conditions, as the existing treatment is designed for long-term protection.
