Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize the lifespan of your Centurion chain, keep the links clean from abrasive debris or mud. When cutting the chain to length, use appropriate bolt cutters or an angle grinder, ensuring you wear proper eye protection and remove any sharp burrs left from the cut to avoid damage to surrounding materials. If the chain is installed in a marine environment, regularly inspect the zinc coating for signs of chipping. If the base metal becomes exposed to saltwater, apply a corrosion-inhibiting spray or specialized protective grease to maintain integrity. Ensure that all hardware used in conjunction with the chain, such as eye bolts or tensioners, is rated for the load you intend to place upon the system.
