Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply unreel the desired length of cable from the reel. Ensure the extension reel is placed on a stable, flat surface away from water or excessive moisture. Plug the reel's main plug into a suitable mains power socket.
Compatibility: This extension reel is designed to be compatible with standard 13-amp electrical devices. It is suitable for use with most tools and appliances that have standard UK plugs. Always ensure the total load of connected devices does not exceed the reel's maximum rated capacity (typically 13A).
Care: To maintain performance and longevity:
- Inspect Regularly: Before each use, check the cable and plug for any signs of damage, such as cuts, fraying, or cracks. Do not use if damaged.
- Clean: Wipe the casing and cable with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, fully retract the cable using the winding knob and store the reel in a dry, protected location.
- Overload Protection: If the overheat protection trips, identify and disconnect the overloaded device before resetting the protection and reconnecting power.
