Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface where the membrane will be applied is clean and dry.
- Cut the SuperFOIL SF6520 to size using standard kitchen scissors.
- Affix the membrane to the desired surface. For optimal performance as a radiant barrier, ensure there is an air gap of at least 10mm between the reflective surface and the adjacent structural elements or finishing materials.
- Overlap seams by approximately 50mm and seal with appropriate foil tape for vapor barrier integrity.
Compatibility:
The SuperFOIL SF6520 is compatible with most standard building materials including wood, metal framing, and masonry. It can be used in attics, walls, floors, and crawl spaces.
Care:
Clean the surface of the membrane with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Handle the material carefully during installation to prevent punctures or tears.
