Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your HOMCOM 21L Mini Oven is straightforward as NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. Simply unbox the appliance, find a stable, heat-resistant surface with adequate ventilation around it (at least 10-15cm clearance from walls and other appliances), and plug it into a standard electrical outlet. Before first use, it's recommended to run the oven empty at its highest temperature for about 15 minutes to burn off any manufacturing oils; you might notice a slight odor, which is normal.
Compatibility
This compact countertop oven is highly compatible with diverse living situations, including small apartments, studio flats, dorm rooms, caravans, or as an auxiliary cooking appliance in larger homes. Its dimensions (28.5H x 46.4L x 38Wcm) are designed to fit comfortably on most kitchen counters. It's compatible with standard oven-safe bakeware that fits within its inner dimensions (21.3H x 31.8L x 27.5Wcm).
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the oven is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. The removable crumb tray slides out easily from the bottom for quick disposal of crumbs and food debris. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive oven cleaner can be used sparingly. The exterior can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth.
- Accessories: The wire rack and baking tray can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or placed in a dishwasher.
- Important Note: Do not use a plastic tray in the oven as plastic cannot withstand the high temperatures and will melt or release harmful fumes. Always use oven-safe materials like metal, glass, or ceramic bakeware.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the oven is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.
