FAQs
Are these gloves waterproof?
They are designed to be weather-resistant, but they are not fully waterproof and may soak through in heavy, prolonged rain.
Can I use these gloves for driving?
Yes, the palm grip design provides added control, though you should ensure they offer enough dexterity for your specific vehicle controls before use.
How do I choose the right size?
The Vinny gloves come in two sizes: XS/S and M/L. Measure the circumference of your dominant hand to ensure a proper, snug fit.
Do all fingers work on the touchscreen?
The touch-sensitive material is optimized for use with the thumb and index finger.
Can I use these in extremely cold weather?
They are best suited for mild to moderate cold; for extreme winter or deep snow conditions, a heavier, insulated glove would be more appropriate.
Troubleshooting
Touchscreen not responding
Ensure the glove fingertips are clean and dry, and verify that you are making firm contact with the screen.
Grips feeling slippery
Clean the palm area with a damp cloth to remove any accumulated oils or dirt that may be affecting the grip texture.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Retain full touchscreen functionality while keeping hands warm
- Enhanced grip makes them suitable for holding trekking poles or handlebars
- Integrated clips prevent losing individual gloves
- Lightweight design is easy to pack into pockets
Cons
- Polyester material may not be suitable for extreme sub-zero temperatures
- Not fully waterproof in heavy rain
- Touch sensitivity can degrade if the gloves become saturated
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Vinny gloves remain in peak condition, machine wash them in cool water on a gentle cycle. Avoid using harsh chemical detergents or bleach, as these can damage the conductive material on the fingertips. Hang dry or lay flat; avoid high-heat tumble drying, which can warp the grip texture or degrade the elastic cuffs. The gloves are compatible with most capacitive touchscreen devices, including iPhones, Android phones, and tablets. Always ensure the screen and the glove fingertips are free from excessive moisture for the most accurate touch registration.
