The Screws City Solid Flat Head Rivets, manufactured to the DIN 7338A standard, are essential hardware for metalworkers, mechanics, and DIY enthusiasts who require a reliable and permanent mechanical fastening solution. These rivets provide excellent load distribution and a clean, flush-style appearance, making them ideal for light fabrication and sheet metal projects; however, they require specific riveting tools or a hammer and anvil set to install properly compared to modern pop rivets.

These are silver-colored solid rivets designed for general mechanical fastening; always verify the material compatibility with your specific application.
While a dedicated rivet set tool is recommended for a professional finish, they can be installed with a hammer and a steady hand, provided you have a solid anvil.
DIN 7338A is a German industrial standard that defines the dimensions and head shape for flat head solid rivets.
No, solid rivets are designed as permanent fasteners. They must be drilled out if you need to disassemble the components.
Yes, solid rivets require access to both sides of the material to properly form the tail end.
Ensure the hole is not too large and keep the rivet setter perfectly aligned with the rivet axis.
Ensure the material pieces are clamped firmly together before installing the rivet to prevent a gap from forming.
Use a soft-faced mallet or ensure your anvil surface is polished and free of debris.
To install these rivets, select a drill bit that matches the rivet shank diameter to create a snug fit. Place the rivet through the components and rest the manufactured head on a solid steel block or anvil. Use a rivet set tool to shape the tail (the protruding end) while striking with a hammer. Keep the rivets stored in a dry, low-humidity environment to prevent surface oxidation, especially if storing for long periods between projects.
