Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level before laying the insulation boards. Boards should be laid directly onto the subfloor, ensuring tight joints. The underfloor heating pipes (16mm diameter) are then pressed into the pre-routed channels. Ensure pipes are fully seated for optimal heat transfer. Test the underfloor heating system for leaks before proceeding with floor covering installation.
Compatibility: These boards are compatible with laminate, engineered wood, vinyl, and most tile finishes. For tile and stone installations, it is recommended to use a suitable overlay system or decoupling membrane on top of the boards to ensure proper adhesion and prevent stress on the tiles. Always consult your chosen floor covering manufacturer's guidelines for underfloor heating suitability.
Care: The boards are resistant to moisture. Clean any dust or debris with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents. Once installed and covered with floor finishes, no specific care is required beyond normal floor maintenance.
