Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the Ground Control Sport can be slightly more challenging than folding-bead tires due to the stiff wire bead construction. Ensure you have a set of sturdy tire levers available.
- Pressure Management: Experiment with tire pressure based on rider weight and trail conditions. Lower pressures will increase the deformation of the Block-In-Block tread, enhancing grip, while higher pressures provide faster rolling on smooth surfaces.
- Care: Keep the tire tread free of heavy debris after muddy rides to ensure the knobs remain flexible. Store your bike in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent premature rubber oxidation.
- Rim Compatibility: Ensure your rim width is appropriate for the 2.35" width to ensure the tire profile sits correctly, preventing the tire from feeling 'squirmy' in high-speed turns.
