Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass minimizes chromatic aberration, resulting in sharper images with more accurate color reproduction compared to standard glass.

While not explicitly designed for digiscoping, adapters may be available separately that allow you to connect a camera to the eyepiece for photography.

Use the dual-focus knob. The larger, coarse focus adjusts quickly for general framing, while the smaller, fine focus allows for precise sharpening of the image.

You can hold it freehand for brief observations at lower magnifications. However, for stability, especially at higher magnifications (above 30x), a tripod is highly recommended for clear viewing.

It means the scope is sealed to prevent water ingress, fogging inside the lenses due to temperature changes, and is filled with nitrogen gas to further inhibit internal fogging. It's built to perform reliably in various weather conditions.

The scope can focus on subjects as close as 8.2 feet (approximately 2.5 meters), allowing you to see fine details on nearby objects.

The 45-degree angle is designed to provide a comfortable viewing position, reducing neck strain when looking upwards or at a downward angle. Some users may need a short period to adapt to this viewing orientation.

Ensure the focus knob is adjusted correctly. Try cleaning the objective lens and eyepiece. Check if the magnification is too high for the current viewing conditions; reduce magnification and refocus.

Adjust the twist-up eyecup. If wearing glasses, ensure the eyecup is in the appropriate position for your needs. Try adjusting your viewing distance from the eyepiece.

The scope is nitrogen purged, so internal fogging indicates a seal issue. Avoid attempting to open it yourself and contact Hawke customer support for assistance.

Ensure the objective lens is clean. Check that the sunshade is extended to prevent glare. Confirm that the fully multi-coated optics are not obstructed.
