Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Prepare your Cat5e or Cat6 stranded Ethernet cable by stripping back the outer jacket to expose the twisted pairs.
- Untwist each pair and arrange the individual wires according to your desired wiring standard (T568A or T568B).
- Feed the wires through the Kenable RJ45 connector, ensuring they exit cleanly from the front.
- Visually inspect the wire order through the front of the connector.
- Ensure the cable jacket is seated properly within the rear of the connector.
- Using a compatible RJ45 crimping tool designed for pass-through connectors, crimp the plug onto the cable.
- Trim any excess wire strands sticking out of the front of the connector.
Compatibility:
- Cable Type: Designed specifically for stranded Ethernet cables (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6). Not suitable for solid core cables.
- Conductor Gauge: Suitable for conductors up to 24 AWG.
- Tools: Compatible with standard RJ45 crimping tools that support pass-through connector termination.
Care:
These connectors are designed for single use during cable termination. Store unused plugs in their original packaging in a dry environment to prevent dust and debris from accumulating on the contacts. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or moisture.
