Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting Time and Date
- Pull out the Crown: Gently pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch) to the first or second position.
- First Position (for Date/Day): Rotate the crown to adjust the day and/or date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this is when the watch's internal mechanisms are engaged in changing the date.
- Second Position (for Time): Pull the crown out further to the second position. Rotate it to set the correct time.
- Push in the Crown: Once time and date are set, push the crown back in fully against the watch case to start the watch and ensure water resistance.
Bracelet Adjustment
The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links to fit your wrist size (145-205mm). This process typically requires specialized tools and is best performed by a jeweler or watch technician to avoid damage.
Water Resistance and Precautions
- The watch is water-resistant up to 30 metres (3ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use, resistant to splashes and rain.
- DO NOT wear the watch while swimming, showering, bathing, or engaging in any water sports.
- Ensure the crown is always fully pushed in. Adjusting the crown while the watch is wet or submerged will compromise its water resistance.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and oils.
- For Stubborn Dirt: Lightly dampen a soft cloth with clean water and gently wipe the stainless steel. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Keep the watch away from extreme heat or cold, as this can affect its accuracy and battery life (if quartz).
- Storage: When not wearing, store the watch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields.
