Full details
The Mountain Warehouse Padded Folding Chair is designed for campers, festival-goers, and outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize comfort during long periods of sitting. Featuring a durable steel frame and extra padding, this chair offers a significant upgrade in relaxation compared to standard folding seats, though its slightly larger folded footprint compared to ultralight stools makes it better suited for car camping than backpacking.

FAQs
What are the dimensions of the chair?
The chair measures approximately 67cm x 60cm x 90cm.
Is this chair suitable for backpacking?
While lightweight, this chair is more suited for car camping or short trips where weight is not a primary concern.
Can I leave the chair outside in the rain?
It is not recommended. Extended exposure to rain can cause the steel frame to rust and the fabric padding to hold moisture.
How do I clean the padding?
Spot clean the fabric using a cloth dampened with warm water and a gentle detergent. Air dry thoroughly.
Is assembly required?
No, the chair comes pre-assembled and is ready for use immediately upon unfolding.
Troubleshooting
Chair feels unstable on soft ground
Ensure the feet are firmly planted and the frame is fully expanded. If the ground is very soft, place a flat object like a plastic plate under the feet to distribute weight.
Difficulty in folding the chair
Check the hinge mechanisms for dirt or grit. Clean with a damp cloth and ensure no fabric is caught in the folding joints.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Integrated padding offers superior comfort
- Strong and durable steel frame
- Quick and intuitive folding mechanism
- Wide seat profile provides good back support
Cons
- Requires more storage space than minimalist stools
- Padding adds slight bulk to the folded package
- Not intended for long-distance hiking
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the chair is straightforward: simply pull the sides of the frame outward until the seat is taut and the legs are fully extended. Ensure the chair is placed on a flat, stable surface before sitting.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Wipe the fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could degrade the material.
- Storage: Always ensure the chair is completely dry before folding and storing it for extended periods to prevent mildew or rust.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the rivets and hinges for any debris; keeping these clean ensures the folding mechanism remains smooth.
