Yes, if your closet space is narrower than the provided rod length, you can use a hacksaw to cut the rod to the specific width required.
The set comes with six black screws. If you are mounting into drywall, you may need to purchase separate heavy-duty wall anchors for a secure hold.
While the weight capacity depends largely on the surface you mount it to, the 25mm steel rod is engineered to support heavy household clothing loads.
The finish is durable and designed for wardrobe use, though it should be treated with care when using metal hangers to avoid deep scratches.
This product is designed for indoor closet use. Excessive exposure to moisture or high humidity may compromise the finish over time.
Check that the screws are fully tightened and ensure the mounting brackets are installed into solid material, such as a wall stud or the side panel of a sturdy wardrobe frame.
Verify that the rail was installed perfectly level. A slight tilt can cause clothes to gravitate toward one side.
To install, first determine the height of your desired rail and mark the mounting points on both sides of your wardrobe or alcove. Use the provided screws to secure the two mounting brackets into solid wood or appropriate wall anchors. Slide the rail into place once the brackets are firmly attached. For optimal performance, wipe the rod down occasionally with a soft, dry cloth to prevent dust buildup. If you notice any scuffing from hangers, a non-abrasive household cleaner will restore the matte black finish. Ensure the rail is fully seated within the brackets to avoid any rattling or movement.
