Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup (Paste the Paper Application):
- Prepare Your Walls: Ensure walls are clean, dry, smooth, and free of dust or loose paint. Fill any holes or cracks and sand smooth. For best results and easier removal, a primer may be applied.
- Measure and Cut: Measure the height of your wall, adding an extra `10cm` at the top and bottom for trimming. Cut your first strip of wallpaper. Remember the `53cm` straight design repeat when cutting subsequent strips to ensure the pattern aligns correctly.
- Apply Paste: Lay the cut strip face down on a clean pasting table. Apply a good quality wallpaper paste evenly to the back of the paper, ensuring edges are well covered. Refer to paste manufacturer instructions for drying time.
- Hang the First Strip: Fold the pasted paper gently, paste to paste, and allow it to 'relax' for the recommended time (known as 'booking'). This allows the paper to expand. Carefully unfold and align the top edge of the first strip with the ceiling line or desired starting point. Smooth it down the wall using a wallpaper brush or smoother, working from the center outwards to remove any air bubbles.
- Align Subsequent Strips: For each subsequent strip, ensure the pattern matches perfectly with the previous strip due to the `straight` design match. Butt edges together, do not overlap. Smooth out bubbles and excess paste.
- Trim Excess: Once all strips are hung, carefully trim the excess paper at the top and bottom using a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is specifically recommended for bedrooms and living rooms. Its soft aesthetic pairs well with both contemporary and traditional interiors. Given its `wet removable` attribute, it is not ideal for high-humidity areas like bathrooms or kitchens where moisture exposure is frequent.
Care (Spongeable):
To clean your wallpaper, simply use a lightly dampened sponge or cloth. Gently wipe the affected area. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or excessive scrubbing, as this can damage the paper or fade the color.
