Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup & Application
This concealer comes ready for direct application. For best results, ensure your skin is clean and moisturized.
- Prep Skin: Apply your usual skincare routine and primer if desired. Ensure your skin is well-hydrated but not greasy.
- Dispense: Scoop a very small amount of product with a clean finger or a dedicated concealer brush. Remember, a little goes a long way due to its high pigmentation.
- Apply: Gently dab the product directly onto the areas you wish to conceal, such as under-eye circles, blemishes, or areas of redness. Start with a thin layer.
- Blend: Gently tap and blend the edges of the applied product with your finger or a brush until it seamlessly melts into your skin. The warmth of your finger can help facilitate a natural finish. If more coverage is needed, build up in thin layers.
Compatibility
- Skin Types: The oil-free formula is well-suited for most skin types, including combination and oily skin. Its inclusion of collagen-boosting peptides and hyaluronic acid also makes it comfortable for skin with fine lines or dryness concerns, helping to plump the skin over time and prevent a dry or tight feeling.
- Shade Matching: This specific variant is 5G Ginger - Medium Warm. For optimal results, ensure the shade matches your skin tone or is slightly lighter for brightening effects under the eyes. NARS offers a wide range of shades to suit diverse complexions.
Product Care
To maintain the quality and efficacy of your NARS Soft Matte Concealer:
- Close Tightly: Always replace the cap securely after each use to prevent the product from drying out and to maintain its integrity.
- Store Properly: Keep the concealer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).
- Hygiene: Always use clean fingers or a freshly sanitized brush for application to prevent contamination of the product. Avoid sharing makeup products.
- Shelf Life: Refer to the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on the product packaging, typically indicated by an open jar icon with a number followed by 'M' (e.g., 12M for 12 months), to determine its recommended lifespan after opening.
