Product Information

Full details

The TOG24 'Gust' Powerstretch Gloves in Black (Large) are designed for adult males seeking reliable warmth and functionality during cold weather activities. Their key benefit is windproof protection combined with touchscreen compatibility, allowing you to use your devices without removing them. A potential caveat is that while fleece offers warmth, it may not be suitable for extreme sub-zero temperatures without additional layering. These gloves feature windproof microfleece, interactive touch screen fingertips, and a gel-textured palm for grip, with longer elasticated cuffs for enhanced coverage.

FAQs

Are these gloves suitable for extreme cold or snow sports?

The 'Gust' gloves are designed for windproof warmth in moderate cold conditions. For extreme cold or activities like skiing or snowboarding, a more heavily insulated and waterproof glove would be recommended. These are excellent for activities like brisk walking, cycling, or general outdoor use in cooler weather.

How do I determine the right size?

Refer to the TOG24 sizing guide available on their website or product pages. Typically, you would measure the circumference of your palm and the length of your hand to find the best fit. The 'Large' size is specified for this product.

Can I wash these gloves in a machine?

It is recommended to hand wash these gloves in cold water with a mild detergent. Machine washing and drying can damage the fleece material and the touch-screen sensitive components.

How durable is the gel grip texture?

The gel grip texture is designed for durability under normal use. Regular cleaning and avoiding harsh chemicals will help maintain its effectiveness. Over time, with extensive wear, any grip material may show signs of wear.

What is the warranty period for these gloves?

Warranty information is typically provided by the retailer or manufacturer. Please refer to your proof of purchase or the TOG24 official website for details on warranty coverage.

Can I use them with gloves on?

No, the touchscreen compatibility is built into the fingertips and thumbs of the gloves themselves. You use the gloves directly on your touch screen devices.

Troubleshooting

Gloves feel too tight or too loose.

Ensure you have selected the correct size. If too tight, consult the sizing guide for the next size up. If too loose, try adjusting the side buckles for a more secure fit, or consider a size down if significantly baggy.

Touchscreen functionality is not working.

Ensure the fingertips are clean and dry. Dirt or moisture can interfere with conductivity. Confirm your device's screen is also clean. The touch-sensitive areas are specifically on the index finger and thumb.

Hands feel cold in windy conditions.

While windproof, the fleece is designed for moderate cold. For extreme cold or prolonged exposure, consider layering with thinner liner gloves. Ensure cuffs are securely fastened to prevent drafts.

Gel grip texture is less effective.

Clean the palm area with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or oils that may have accumulated, which could reduce grip. Ensure the gloves are fully dry before use.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent wind resistance for protection in blustery conditions.
  • Convenient touchscreen compatibility for device use.
  • Enhanced grip provided by the gel-textured palm.
  • Comfortable and secure fit due to longer elasticated cuffs.
  • Suitable for a variety of outdoor activities.

Cons

  • Fleece material may not provide sufficient warmth for extreme cold without additional insulation.
  • Sizing may need careful consideration for optimal fit.
  • Durability of touchscreen compatibility over extended use is not detailed.
  • Primarily designed for moderate cold weather, not extreme arctic conditions.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: These gloves require no setup. Simply wear them for immediate warmth and protection.

Compatibility: The primary compatibility feature is the touchscreen-sensitive fingertips and thumbs, designed to work with most capacitive touch screens on smartphones, tablets, and other devices. No specific software or drivers are needed.

Care Instructions: To maintain the quality and performance of your TOG24 'Gust' Powerstretch Gloves:

  1. Washing: Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the fleece and touch-screen sensitivity.
  2. Drying: Lay flat to air dry. Do not tumble dry, as excessive heat can damage the materials and elastic components. Keep away from direct heat sources like radiators.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent moisture damage and maintain material integrity.
