Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Preparation: Gather all components and tools needed, including a screwdriver, measuring tape, and safety glasses.
- Gutter Installation: Attach the gutters to the shed roof, ensuring they are securely fastened and aligned correctly. Follow the screw-on design instructions.
- Downpipe Attachment: Connect the downpipe to the gutters, ensuring a tight seal to prevent leaks. Position the downpipe to direct water away from the shed’s foundation.
- Accessories: Install any additional accessories, such as end caps, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Compatibility
The BillyOh Shed Gutter System is compatible with a variety of outdoor structures, including sheds, summerhouses, and log cabins. Ensure that the 10ft length is suitable for your shed’s roof size. The system is designed to fit most standard shed roof designs, but always measure your roof to confirm compatibility.
Care
- Regularly inspect the gutters and downpipes for any blockages caused by leaves, debris, or other materials.
- Clean the gutters at least twice a year, or more frequently if you live in an area with a lot of trees.
- Check for leaks and repair any cracks or damage promptly to prevent water damage to your shed.
- During winter, clear snow and ice from the gutters to prevent them from becoming overloaded.
