Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and level. Remove any old tiles, wallpaper, or loose paint. Fill any cracks or holes and sand the surface smooth.
- Layout Planning: Plan the tile layout before you begin. Dry-fit the tiles on the floor to visualize the pattern and make necessary adjustments.
- Adhesive Application: Apply tile adhesive to the wall using a notched trowel. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's instructions for the correct trowel size and application method.
- Tile Placement: Carefully place the tiles onto the adhesive, using tile spacers to maintain uniform grout lines.
- Grouting: After the adhesive has set (usually 24 hours), apply grout to the joints, using a grout float. Remove excess grout and clean the tiles with a damp sponge.
Compatibility
These tiles are compatible with standard tile adhesives and grouts. Ensure that the adhesive and grout are suitable for ceramic tiles and the specific environment (e.g., wet areas like bathrooms).
Care
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the tiles with a damp cloth or sponge to remove dirt and grime. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
- Maintenance: Inspect the grout lines periodically and re-grout as needed to maintain water resistance and prevent mold growth.
