Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Lexar Professional Gold CFexpress 4.0 Type A card functions as a direct replacement for other CFexpress Type A cards. Insert the card into the designated slot of your compatible camera or card reader. Ensure the card is fully seated and the device is powered on. For initial use or after significant data transfer, it is recommended to format the card within the host device (camera or computer) to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
Compatibility: This card uses the CFexpress Type A standard. It is compatible with cameras, camcorders, and other devices that specifically support CFexpress Type A memory cards. It is *not* backward compatible with CFast, CompactFlash, or standard SD card slots. Always check your device's specifications to confirm compatibility.
Care:
- Handle the card with care, avoiding excessive force when inserting or removing it.
- Keep the card contacts clean. If necessary, gently wipe them with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Protect the card from extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-12°C to 72°C).
- While IP68 rated, avoid prolonged submersion or exposure to high-pressure water. Ensure the card is dry before use after exposure to moisture.
- Store the card in a protective case when not in use to prevent damage and contamination.
