Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the collar is the correct size. The 65cm (26-inch) chain is recommended for large breeds.
- Thread the free end of the chain through the welded ring to form a 'D' shape.
- Attach the leash to the welded ring.
- Place the collar over the dog's head, ensuring it sits high on the neck, just behind the ears.
- When the leash is taut, the collar should tighten comfortably. When relaxed, it should be loose enough to slide off one ear, but not the entire head.
Compatibility:
This collar is designed for large dog breeds with neck sizes appropriate for a 65cm chain. It is not recommended for puppies or dogs with delicate necks. Always consult with a professional trainer if you are unsure about the suitability for your specific dog.
Care:
- Wipe the chain with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent rust.
- Periodically inspect the links and welded ring for any signs of wear or damage.
