Setup, Compatibility & Care
Following these guidelines is crucial for your baby's health and the product's effectiveness.
Setup & Preparation
- Hygiene First: Always wash your hands thoroughly and sterilize all feeding equipment (bottles, teats, etc.) before preparation.
- Boil Water: Boil fresh tap water and allow it to cool for no more than 30 minutes to ensure it's still warm (around 70°C).
- Measure Water: Refer to the feeding guide on the can for the correct amount of water. Pour the boiled, cooled water into the sterilized bottle.
- Add Powder: Use the scoop provided in the can. Level off each scoop with the back of a clean, dry knife. Add the exact number of scoops required to the water.
- Mix Thoroughly: Securely cap the bottle and shake well until all the powder is dissolved. Avoid vigorous shaking that can create excessive foam.
- Check Temperature: Before feeding, cool the bottle under cold running water until it reaches body temperature (around 37°C). Test a few drops on your wrist to ensure it's not too hot.
Important: Never add extra scoops of powder or less water than instructed, as this can be harmful to your baby.
Compatibility
- Age Range: Kendamil Follow On Milk Stage 2 is only suitable for babies aged 6 to 12 months.
- Dietary Role: This product must be used as part of a mixed diet and is not a breastmilk substitute for infants under 6 months. Always consult a healthcare professional before introducing new foods or formulas.
Care & Storage
- Storage: Store the unopened can in a cool, dry place. Once opened, reseal the can tightly and use the contents within four weeks. Do not store in the refrigerator.
- Discard Unused Feed: For your baby's safety, any feed remaining in the bottle after one hour of preparation must be discarded.
- No Microwave Reheating: Never reheat formula in a microwave. Microwaves can create 'hot spots' that may scald your baby's mouth, and they can destroy vital nutrients.
