Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin your project, ensure you have your chosen fabric pre-washed and pressed to avoid shrinkage after completion. Gather your standard sewing supplies, including sharp fabric shears, matching thread, interfacing suitable for your fabric weight, and necessary closures like buttons or zippers. When cutting the tissue, press it with a low-heat, dry iron to flatten any creases before pinning it to the fabric. Store the pattern pieces in a cool, dry place to preserve the tissue paper integrity for future uses. If the tissue tears, use small pieces of transparent tape on the non-printed side for repair.
