Setup, Compatibility & Care
This chain bolt cutter requires no initial setup beyond ensuring the jaws are properly aligned. It is compatible with a wide array of common metals and fasteners within its specified cutting capacity.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the blades clean with a dry cloth to remove debris. For tougher residue, use a lightly oiled cloth.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light machine oil to the pivot point and blade edges to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
- Storage: Store the cutter in a dry environment. Ensure the jaws are closed or secured to prevent accidental damage.
- Adjustment: If the cutting action becomes less effective, use the adjusting screws to tighten the jaws. Turn the screws clockwise incrementally until the desired cutting pressure is restored. Be careful not to overtighten.
