Setup, Compatibility & Care
Planting: Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Ensure adequate space for the trained standard form. Water thoroughly after planting.
Care:
- Watering: Keep consistently moist, especially during dry periods and fruiting season.
- Pruning:
- In July: Trim vigorous, non-fruiting new shoots back to the existing head size.
- In Winter: Trim all shoots by half or to your desired head size to maintain the form and encourage fruiting wood.
- Feeding: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring.
Compatibility: Suitable for most garden soils and climates. Excellent for container growing on patios or balconies due to its manageable size and form.
