Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your PC is powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet.
- Open your computer case.
- Locate the DIMM slots on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for the correct slots for dual-channel operation (often slots 2 and 4).
- Align the notch on the memory module with the notch in the DIMM slot and press down firmly on both ends until the clips on the sides snap into place.
- Close your computer case, reconnect power, and boot up your system.
- Enter your system's BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure the memory is recognized and to enable XMP 2.0 profile for optimal performance.
Compatibility:
This DDR4 memory module is compatible with motherboards supporting DDR4 memory, particularly those with 6th Generation Intel® Core™ processors and newer. Always check your motherboard's Qualified Vendor List (QVL) for specific memory compatibility.
Care:
- Avoid touching the gold contacts on the memory modules.
- Handle modules by the edges.
- Ensure adequate airflow within your PC case to keep memory temperatures stable.
- Keep away from strong magnetic fields and excessive moisture.
