REACHING NEW HEIGHTS A 44. 5mm black ceramic case showcases a black dial, home to contrasting hands and Arabic roman numerals coated in luminescence for clear and concise timekeeping. Chronograph function with hour, minute, and second accuracy, along with a date and day display at 3 o’clock further elevate this timepiece. This Pilot Chronograph Top Gun model is provided power by the IWC-manufactured 69000 calibre automatic movement for the first time ever. For enhanced performance, this chronograph also features a Cotes de Geneve finish, a 46-hour power reserve, and water resistance up to 10 bar (100 metres).Paired with a versatile black textile strap, this watch features a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields and the glass is secured to prevent displacement by drops in air pressure. For the first time ever, IWC uses an in-house movement from the 69000-calibre family for the popular TOP GUN Chronograph in black ceramic. During tortuous manoeuvres involving supersonic jets like the F/A-18, pilots are subjected to high g forces. But also extended missions on aircraft carriers, where they are exposed to the humid, salt-bearing sea air, put an enormous strain on both personnel and material.
