Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the burner is cool and completely dry.
- Locate the gas refill valve, typically at the base of the unit.
- Insert the nozzle of a standard butane gas canister (sold separately) firmly into the valve.
- Hold the canister upright and press down to refill. Listen for a hissing sound indicating gas flow.
- Fill for approximately 5-10 seconds, or until a small amount of fuel is heard escaping.
- Remove the butane canister and wait a minute for the gas to stabilize before use.
Compatibility:
The AdHoc Flambé Burner is designed to be compatible with standard butane fuel canisters available in most stores. It is intended for culinary use only and should not be used with other types of fuel or for non-food-related purposes.
Care:
- Cleaning: Allow the burner to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or submerging the unit in water.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the flame adjustment knob is in the 'off' position. Keep out of reach of children.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the nozzle and flame vents for any blockages. Do not attempt to modify the burner's internal components.
