Eco-Drive technology harnesses light (natural or artificial) and converts it into electrical energy to power the watch. This energy is stored in a rechargeable power cell, eliminating the need for battery replacements.

While direct sunlight is effective, any light source will charge the watch. Regular indoor lighting is sufficient for maintaining the charge under normal daily use. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense heat which could damage the watch.

The power reserve can vary, but many Citizen Eco-Drive watches can run for several months (e.g., 6 months or more) in complete darkness once fully charged. Refer to your specific model's manual for exact power reserve details.

Mineral crystal offers good resistance to everyday scratches, but it is not as hard as sapphire crystal. It can be scratched by harder materials. For more robust scratch resistance, sapphire crystal is generally preferred.

It is recommended to wipe down your watch with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove oils and dust. A more thorough cleaning can be done periodically as needed, paying attention to the strap and case.
