This Ranger Mini Matte Medium is designed for artists and crafters seeking a versatile, archival quality medium for various art projects. Its key benefit is its multi-functionality as a glue, sealer, glazing medium, and paint extender, providing a clear, non-yellowing finish. A potential caveat is its small 0.5 oz bottle size, which may require frequent repurchasing for extensive use.

This medium is suitable for a variety of surfaces including canvas, wood, paper, fabric, and primed surfaces. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
Drying time varies depending on application thickness and environmental conditions (humidity, temperature). Typically, it dries to the touch within 15-30 minutes and cures fully within 24-48 hours.
Yes, once the medium is completely dry, you can paint over it with acrylics, oils, or other compatible art mediums.
The medium provides a water-resistant finish once fully cured, protecting your artwork from moisture.
Matte medium provides a non-reflective, flat finish, while gloss medium provides a shiny, reflective surface. This product specifically offers a matte finish.
Yes, the medium is non-toxic and acid-free, making it safe for use by children under adult supervision.
Ensure the medium was applied in a thin, even layer. Over-application or application in very humid conditions can sometimes cause cloudiness. Allow ample drying time.
Ensure the printed image is compatible (laser prints generally work best). Apply a generous, even layer of medium, let it dry completely, then use a damp sponge to gently rub away the paper pulp. Work slowly and carefully.
Gently thin with a small amount of distilled water. Mix thoroughly, but avoid over-thinning, which can affect its archival properties and drying characteristics.
Setup: No specific setup is required. The medium is ready to use directly from the bottle.
Compatibility: Compatible with most acrylic paints, inks, and papers. It performs best on non-porous or properly primed surfaces.
Care: Store the medium in its original bottle with the cap tightly sealed to prevent drying. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To clean brushes or tools, wash immediately with soap and water before the medium dries.
