Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the PLM1800 involves mounting it to a sturdy workbench or dedicated stand to reduce vibration. Ensure the fold-out extensions are level with the main bed for smooth feeding. Regarding compatibility, the machine features a dust port that should be connected to a vacuum or dust extraction unit, as the high-speed blades generate significant amounts of wood chips.
Care for the unit involves regular cleaning of the machine bed and internal rollers to prevent resin buildup. Periodically inspect the blades for nicks or dulling; if the machine starts showing streaks on the board surface, it is time to sharpen or replace the blades. Always unplug the machine from the power source before performing any maintenance or blade adjustments.
