FAQs
Is the backing rubber or latex?
The Imperial Turkish Bath Mat features a specialized non-slip backing designed to be durable and grip wet floor surfaces securely.
Can I use this mat with underfloor heating?
Yes, this cotton mat is safe to use on surfaces with underfloor heating, as it is composed of natural fibers.
How do I maintain the vibrant red color?
Wash in cool water and avoid harsh detergents or bleach to keep the color deep and vibrant over time.
Is this mat thick?
It is crafted with a 500gsm weave, which provides a plush and cushioned feel underfoot without being excessively bulky.
Can I dry clean the mat?
Machine washing is recommended. Dry cleaning is not necessary and may damage the slip-resistant backing.
Troubleshooting
The mat slides on the floor
Ensure the floor is completely dry and free of soap scum or hair before placing the mat down.
Color fading or bleeding
Wash the mat separately from white or light-colored fabrics, especially during the first three washes.
Mat feels less absorbent over time
Avoid using fabric softeners during wash cycles, as they leave a wax-like coating on cotton fibers that reduces absorbency.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup is straightforward: simply place the mat on a flat, clean floor surface to allow the backing to grip the tiles properly. The mat is compatible with most standard floor types, including ceramic, porcelain, and stone.
To keep your Imperial Bath Mat in top condition:
- Initial Wash: Wash separately in cold water before the first use to set the vibrant red color.
- Routine Cleaning: Machine wash at 40 degrees Celsius using a gentle cycle.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low setting. Avoid using bleach, which can degrade the natural cotton fibers and dull the red pigment.
- Storage: Ensure the mat is completely dry before folding it for storage to prevent mildew buildup.
