Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Erika 3 Parka, proper maintenance is essential. Always close all zippers and buttons before washing to prevent snagging or hardware damage. Use a gentle cycle with mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners, as these can strip the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating from the polyester shell. If you notice water no longer beads off the surface, tumble dry the garment on low heat to reactivate the water-repellent treatment. Always remove the synthetic fur trim before cleaning the parka to maintain the fibers' texture and shape. Store the jacket in a cool, dry place on a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain its structure throughout the off-season.
