Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Preparation: Identify the correct screw size for your project. Ensure the screw length is appropriate for the material thickness.
- Pre-Drilling: Pre-drill pilot holes to prevent wood splitting, especially in hardwood or dense materials. Use a drill bit that matches the screw's core diameter.
- Insertion: Insert the screw into the pre-drilled hole. Use a screwdriver (manual or power) to drive the screw in until the head is flush with the surface.
Compatibility: These screws are compatible with most common building materials, including wood, particleboard, and some plastics. Always check material compatibility before use.
Care: The zinc plating helps prevent rust, but avoid using excessive force when tightening to prevent stripping the screw or damaging the material. Store screws in a dry environment to maintain their integrity.
