Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Cut an appropriate aperture in the plasterboard or wall surface to accommodate the back box dimensions (72mm x 72mm).
- Ensure the wall cavity is at least 16mm deep.
- Insert the back box into the aperture, ensuring it sits flush.
- Secure the back box using screws through the fixed lugs into the wall structure or plasterboard fixings.
- Connect electrical wiring to the accessory before mounting it to the back box.
Compatibility:
This back box is universally compatible with all standard UK single-gang wall sockets, light switches, dimmer switches, and data outlets that require a 16mm depth back box. It is designed for installation in plasterboard or shallow brick wall cavities.
Care:
Clean the exterior of the back box with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the galvanised finish. Ensure electrical connections remain dry and free from dust or debris.
