Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: While many bikes arrive partially assembled, a professional tune-up is recommended to ensure all components are correctly adjusted for optimal performance and safety. This includes brake and gear adjustments, tire inflation, and torquing bolts to specification.
Compatibility: The Marlin 6 Gen 3 is designed with standard bicycle components. It features internal routing for a dropper post, allowing for compatibility with most aftermarket dropper seatposts. It has clearance for wider tires, enhancing versatility. Rack and fender mounts are standard.
Care: Regularly clean the bike, especially the drivetrain, after riding in wet or muddy conditions. Check tire pressure before each ride. Inspect brake pads for wear and ensure they are contacting the rim or rotor correctly. Periodically check all bolts for tightness. Lubricate the chain as needed. The suspension fork requires occasional service as per RockShox's recommendations.
