Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Keep the packaging for future transport if needed. Ensure the appliance is upright.
- Positioning: Choose a level, solid surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources (like ovens or radiators), and excessive moisture. This appliance is freestanding, offering flexibility.
- Space Requirements: Given its dimensions (H2000 x W704 x D692mm), ensure adequate space in your kitchen. Leave at least 5-10cm clearance around the back and sides for proper ventilation and door opening.
- Levelling: Use the adjustable feet at the bottom to ensure the fridge freezer is perfectly level. This prevents vibration and ensures optimal door sealing.
- Power Connection: Plug into a dedicated, properly earthed wall socket. Allow the appliance to stand for at least 4-6 hours before switching it on, allowing refrigerants to settle.
Compatibility
This Hisense American Fridge Freezer is compatible with standard household electrical outlets (220-240V, 50Hz). It is a freestanding unit, meaning it does not require integration into cabinetry, offering straightforward installation in most kitchen layouts, provided there is sufficient space.
Care
- Cleaning the Interior: Regularly wipe down the interior walls, shelves, and drawers with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Ensure to dry thoroughly. Remove shelves and drawers for deeper cleaning if needed.
- Cleaning the Exterior: For the PureFlat door and exterior surfaces, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish. Wipe dry to prevent water marks.
- No Defrosting Required: Thanks to Total No Frost technology, you will not need to manually defrost the freezer. This significantly reduces maintenance effort.
- Door Seals: Periodically check door seals for cleanliness and damage. Clean them with warm soapy water to ensure a tight seal and prevent cold air loss.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation grilles at the back and sides remain unobstructed to allow the compressor to operate efficiently.
