The Hycote Touch Up Brush Paint in silver is designed for vehicle owners looking to perform precise, DIY aesthetic repairs on scratches and stone chips. Its key benefit is the manufacturer-grade colour matching and durable finish that resists sunlight and fading, making it ideal for maintaining a vehicle's resale value. A primary caveat is that because it is a touch-up solution, it works best for minor surface blemishes rather than large-scale bodywork restoration, and requires careful application to blend seamlessly with existing paintwork.

Yes, this paint is compatible with metals, plastics, wood, and ceramics.
While the paint is hard-wearing, applying a clear coat can provide extra gloss and protection, though it is not strictly required for small chips.
Due to the fast-drying formula, typically 15-30 minutes is sufficient, but refer to environmental humidity for optimal curing times.
Yes, but ensure you treat any exposed metal with a primer first to prevent rust from forming underneath the touch-up paint.
Verify your vehicle's paint code—usually found on the manufacturer's VIN plate—against the specific Hycote match code on the product label.
Metallic paints require thorough shaking to disperse pigments. Ensure you have shaken the container for at least two full minutes before application.
Use less paint on the brush. Dab the brush against the inside of the bottle neck to remove excess before applying to the scratch.
Clean the screw thread of the bottle and the brush stem thoroughly with a small amount of thinners after each use to prevent residue buildup.
Before use, ensure the vehicle surface is clean, dry, and free of loose rust or wax, as these will prevent the paint from adhering properly. Shake the bottle vigorously for at least two minutes to ensure the metallic particles are evenly distributed. The paint is compatible with both original factory OEM finishes and older acrylic or cellulosic paints. After use, wipe the brush neck clean to prevent the cap from sticking due to dried paint build-up. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place to maintain the viscosity of the paint for future touch-ups.
