The cedar wood case sheathes a robust 4.7mm lead consisting of ultra-fine, water-soluble pigment that offers exceptional lightfastness. Casing constructed from FSC-certified wood and marked with the Caran d'Ache branding and the pencil's individual colour code. Matt barrel cap matches lead colour. Best sharpened with a blade rather than a standard pencil sharpener, and the colour laydown can be stabilised using fixative. Developed in close collaboration with master pastel artists and proudly made in Switzerland.
