Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires standard heavy-duty landscaping tools, including a circular saw or hand saw for custom cuts and a drill for structural joining. To maintain the structural integrity, ensure the sleepers are placed on a level, well-draining base like compacted gravel to prevent water pooling at the base. While the oak is naturally resistant to decay, keep the wood clear of excessive debris and mud to encourage air circulation. If you prefer to maintain the original color rather than letting it silver, you may apply a UV-protective exterior timber oil, though this is strictly optional for performance.
