Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD to your computer using the included USB Type-C to USB Type-C or USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable.
- The drive should be automatically recognized by your operating system. If not, check your device manager or disk utility.
- For password protection, you'll need to download and install the SanDisk SecureAccess software from the SanDisk website. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your password.
Compatibility:
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is compatible with:
- Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7
- macOS 10.6+
Ensure your computer has a USB-C or USB-A port that meets the USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2) specifications for optimal performance.
Care:
- Avoid exposing the drive to extreme temperatures. Operating temperature: 0 - 45 °C; Storage temperature: -20 - 85 °C.
- While water-resistant, do not submerge the drive in water.
- Clean the drive with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
