The Milward Circular Interchangeable Knitting Needles are designed for knitters who prioritize ergonomic comfort and sustainable craftsmanship. Ideal for medium-weight projects like sweaters and scarves, these needles excel at reducing physical strain by distributing project weight across the lap. While they offer a superior, smooth finish thanks to their natural wood construction, users should note that they require specific Milward-compatible cables to function, which may necessitate an investment in the proprietary ecosystem.

These needles are specifically designed for the Milward Interchangeable Cable system; they may not be compatible with cables from other manufacturers.
The 3.75mm size is versatile, but the tips are designed for general use; while smooth, they are not specifically tapered for fine lace work.
No, they are free from artificial dyes and pigments, utilizing only natural wood finishes.
Check the yarn label for the recommended needle size range, which typically lists 3.5mm to 4.0mm for DK weight yarns.
Yes, the smooth natural wood is very forgiving and easier for beginners to control than slippery metal needles.
Ensure the cable is tightened fully into the needle tip. You may use a small rubber gripper tool to get a better grip for a secure fit.
Check that the connection is perfectly flush. If a small gap exists, ensure the threads are not obstructed by lint or yarn fibers and re-tighten.
To set up your needle, simply screw the threaded end of your Milward interchangeable cable into the base of the needle tip until it sits flush. Ensure the connection is tight to maintain the integrity of the Glydon joint. Regarding care, because these needles are made of natural wood, it is recommended to keep them in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. If the wood surface begins to feel dry over many years of use, a light application of wood-safe wax can restore its luster. Do not submerge the needles in water; simply wipe them clean with a soft, lint-free cloth after each use.
