Troubleshooting

Cards are slightly warped or curved

This is common with foil cards. Store the deck in a tight-fitting deck box with silica gel packets in the vicinity to manage humidity levels.

Difficulty shuffling due to foil thickness

Use a professional 'mash' shuffle technique with high-quality sleeves to avoid damaging the card edges.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Full Surge Foil finish on all cards for maximum visual appeal
Ready-to-play right out of the box for Commander
High-quality, durable themed deck box included
Unique Star Trek thematic integration with Magic mechanics

Cons

Higher price point compared to standard non-foil Commander decks
Surge foil cards can occasionally be prone to slight curvature (pringle-ing) due to humidity
Primarily collectible focus may limit deck-building flexibility for competitive optimization

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, ensure you have a set of high-quality card sleeves, as the unique Surge Foil finish is sensitive to oils and friction from constant shuffling. The deck is fully compatible with all standard Magic: The Gathering Commander formats and tournament rules.

Care instructions include storing the deck in the provided deck box in a cool, dry environment. Avoid excessive humidity to prevent the foils from warping. When shuffling, use gentle techniques to preserve the edge integrity of the cards.
