Ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight. Check that the on/off switch is in the 'on' position. Allow the solar panel to charge for at least 8 hours in direct sunlight before testing again.

Clean the solar panel surface. Relocate the solar panel to a position with more direct sunlight. The rechargeable battery may need replacement if the unit is old.
