Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The 6061 CORE features a MicroDot connector. To connect it to your audio system, you will typically use a DPA adapter that matches your specific wireless transmitter or audio interface. Ensure the adapter is securely attached to the microphone's MicroDot connector. For wired setups, a MicroDot to XLR adapter can be used.
Compatibility: This microphone is designed to work with a wide array of professional wireless systems. DPA offers various adapters for popular brands like Shure, Sennheiser, and others. Always verify the correct adapter is used for your specific wireless system to ensure proper impedance matching and signal transmission.
Care: The microphone capsule can be removed for cleaning. Gently detach the capsule cap and clean it with a dry, soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching it to the microphone body. A firm click should be felt and heard upon proper reattachment. The PVD coating provides excellent resistance to abrasion and high temperatures, but avoid exposing the microphone to extreme conditions beyond its specifications (-40 to 45 °C operating temperature). The cable is designed for durability, but avoid excessive kinking or sharp bends to prolong its life.
