The PLANET IGS-5225-8P2S2X is a compact Layer 3 managed PoE switch designed for industrial networks. It offers 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports with 36-watt 802.3at PoE+ and two 10Gbps SFP+ uplink slots, supporting high bandwidth and power consumption for applications like 11ac Wi-Fi APs. The switch features a rugged IP30 metal case and operates in a wide temperature range (-40 to 75 degrees C), ensuring stability in harsh industrial environments. It provides immunity against electromagnetic interference and electrical surges, and supports DIN-rail or wall mounting. The IGS-5225-8P2S2X includes redundant ring technology with fast recovery (as fast as 10ms) for critical applications using ITU-T G.8032 ERPS and MSTP, along with a redundant power input system. The 10G SFP+ slots support triple speed and various transceiver types for flexible network extension. Intelligent LED indicators display real-time PoE power usage, and an Alive Check feature monitors connected PDs, recycling power to unresponsive devices. The PoE schedule function allows for energy savings by enabling or disabling PoE ports at specific times. It also offers ONVIF support for IP surveillance integration, allowing one-click discovery of ONVIF devices, floor image uploads for monitoring, and PoE reboot control. The switch supports IEEE 1588 Time Protocol for industrial computing networks and Carrier Ethernet applications. For secure and flexible management, it includes IPv4/IPv6 VLAN routing to crossover different VLANs and IP addresses. The IGS-5225 series also incorporates cybersecurity features to protect switch management and enhance security.
