The Facom S.3/4LA is a high-performance deep bi-hexagon socket engineered for professional mechanics and industrial technicians who require reliable fastening tools. It offers exceptional reach and torque handling for recessed nuts and long bolts, making it an essential addition to any heavy-duty tool kit. While its 12-point design is perfect for standard clearance, users should ensure they are using the correct size to avoid rounding hardware on high-torque applications.

This is a standard chrome socket designed for manual ratchets; it is not classified as an impact-rated socket and should not be used with high-torque impact guns.
AF stands for 'Across Flats', indicating that the measurement is taken across the flat sides of the fastener head, conforming to SAE/Imperial standards.
No, this is a 3/4-inch socket. Using imperial sockets on metric nuts can result in slipping and damaged fasteners.
Regularly wipe it down with a cloth soaked in light oil or degreaser after use and avoid storing it in damp conditions.
The primary advantage is the ability to engage a nut or bolt in 30-degree increments, which is very helpful in tight, obstructed spaces where a 6-point socket might not fit easily.
Verify that you are using a 3/4-inch AF size and not a similarly sized metric equivalent (such as 19mm).
Ensure the debris is cleaned out of the internal bi-hexagon teeth; use a small pick or compressed air to clear obstructions.
Clean the surface with a fine steel wool pad or specialized chrome polish and ensure the tool is stored in a dry, humidity-controlled area.
To ensure the longevity of your socket, always pair it with a high-quality 1/2-inch drive ratchet or impact tool rated for the same size. While the socket is robust, avoid using chrome-plated sockets with high-impact power tools, as this can lead to premature chrome chipping or steel stress. After use, wipe the socket with a clean cloth to remove grease and debris. Store the tool in a dry environment or a modular foam tray to prevent surface oxidation over time.
