Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
The Ottoman TV Bed is designed for straightforward home assembly. Clear, step-by-step instructions are included with your delivery. We recommend two people for assembly to ensure ease and safety.
- Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all boxes and check against the included parts list to ensure everything is present.
- Assemble Frame: Follow the detailed guide to assemble the main bed frame, securely attaching side rails and support beams.
- Install TV Lift Mechanism: Integrate the TV lift mechanism into the footboard according to the instructions, ensuring all electrical connections are secure and correctly routed.
- Attach Ottoman Lift (if applicable): If your bed includes the ottoman storage, install the gas lift mechanisms for easy and assisted access to the storage compartment.
- Place Mattress: Once the frame is fully assembled, stable, and all mechanisms are tested, place your mattress onto the bed base. Do not place a TV into the lift until the bed frame is fully assembled and stable.
TV Compatibility
The integrated TV lift is precisely engineered to accommodate flat-screen televisions ranging from 32 inches to 47 inches. It is crucial to ensure your TV's dimensions (width, height, and depth) and weight fall within these specifications for optimal performance, smooth operation, and safety. Please note: The television itself is not included with the bed and must be purchased separately.
Product Care
To maintain the luxurious plush velvet upholstery and ensure the longevity of your TV bed:
- Velvet Upholstery Care: Regularly vacuum the velvet using a soft brush attachment to prevent dust and dirt buildup. For spills, gently blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth – avoid rubbing, as this can damage the pile. For stubborn marks, consult a professional upholstery cleaner. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
- TV Lift Mechanism Maintenance: Occasionally check the TV lift mechanism for smooth operation. Keep the area around the lift free from obstructions. Avoid applying excessive force when raising or lowering the TV manually.
- General Cleaning: Wipe down any non-fabric surfaces, such as the bed frame's exposed parts, with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents.
- Weight Distribution: Ensure weight is evenly distributed on the bed frame and within the storage area (if applicable) to prevent undue strain on the mechanisms and frame.
