While the pan is robust, check your specific model's handle material constraints before oven use; generally, it is designed for stovetop use.
While durable, we recommend silicone or wooden utensils to keep the stainless steel surface pristine and scratch-free.
The CaterBase Essentials line focuses on simplicity, so it does not feature interior measurement markings.
A soft cloth with a mild stainless steel polishing agent or a vinegar-water solution will help restore the original shine.
The handles are designed to be 'cool-touch' for stovetop use, but they may become warm if the pan is used on a very high flame or for very long durations.
The included lid is designed to complement the stainless steel construction for a consistent look and effective heat retention.
Ensure the pan is preheated over medium heat before adding oil and ingredients.
This is a common reaction with stainless steel and heat; it can be easily removed by cleaning the surface with a mixture of water and vinegar or a dedicated stainless steel cleaner.
Reduce the heat slightly; a high rolling boil can cause steam pressure to lift the lid.
Before first use, wash the pan thoroughly in warm, soapy water to remove any manufacturing residue. The pan is fully compatible with induction, gas, ceramic, and electric hobs; for best results on induction, ensure the base is centered over the hob element. When cooking, use wooden or silicone utensils to avoid scratching the surface. While the pan is dishwasher-safe, hand washing with a non-abrasive sponge is recommended to maintain the exterior polish. If food becomes stuck to the base, allow the pan to soak in warm water rather than using metal scouring pads, which may damage the finish.
