This Kenable Half Frame Brush Plate Cable Management is designed for IT professionals and AV installers seeking to maintain a clean and organized cabling infrastructure within 19-inch enclosures. Its primary benefit is providing a neat, brush-sealed entry point for cables, preventing dust ingress and reducing visual clutter. A potential consideration is its specific 1U height requirement for mounting. Key features include durable mild steel construction with a matt black powder finish, a letterbox-shaped slot for versatile cable routing, and suitability for data cabinets, flight cases, and studio racks.

Its main purpose is to provide a neat, controlled entry point for cables into a 19-inch enclosure, while the brush seal helps to prevent dust and debris from entering.
The cable slot measures 35mm in height and 370mm in length.
The number of cables depends on their thickness. The 35mm x 370mm slot can accommodate multiple standard data or AV cables. It's designed for organization rather than maximizing density.
It is constructed from mild steel with a matt black powder finish.
No, this product typically does not include mounting screws. Standard rack mounting hardware such as M6 cage nuts and screws are usually required and are sold separately.
This brush plate is specifically designed for standard 19-inch rack systems. It will not fit correctly in racks of different widths.
The brush seal is primarily designed for dust prevention and cable management. It does not offer significant acoustic or EMI/RFI shielding.
Ensure cables are fed through the center of the slot. If using a very large number of cables, distribute them evenly within the slot. The brush provides resistance for sealing; some stiffness is normal.
Verify that you are using standard 19-inch rack mounting hardware (cage nuts and screws) and that the enclosure has the correct mounting points.
Inspect the brush for any loose or broken bristles. For minor wear, it may still provide adequate dust protection. Significant damage might require replacing the unit.
Ensure the brush plate is correctly installed and that cables do not create large gaps. Try to position cables within the brush area as much as possible. For extremely dusty environments, consider supplementary sealing if needed.
